I want to contribute to our understanding of intelligence in order to positively shape the prospects of increasingly general artificial intelligence. At the moment I am working on a comparison of problem solving mechanisms in the human brain and current machine learning systems.
I studied Biology in Hanover and Cognitive Science at the University Osnabrück. In my leisure time I enjoy learning about topics like game and decision theory, economics, evolutionary theory, ethics, international politics and philosophy of mind. I also participate in the Effective Altruism community, where people use reason and evidence to try to do the most good.
